You need to boost her immune system. There is no vaccine to keep her from getting pneumonia. There is a pneumonia vaccine made for older adults but it isn't very effective and I don't think it's approved for 5-year-olds. Try keeping her on immune boosters like probiotics, vitamin C and garlic oil and a good multivitamin and make sure she gets lots of sunlight or supplements with Vitamin D. The probiotics are probably the most important - if she has had recurrent pneumonia she's probably had several rounds of antibiotics. They kill all the good bacteria in your gut too and don't leave you with many defenses once the antibiotics wear off, so she will probably keep getting sick until her good gut flora is restored. That's one of the reasons things like ear infections and respiratory infections tend to come back so easily, And DO NOT get her the flu shot. I got pneumonia when I was growing up ONLY in the two years that I got a flu shot. I swear it just crapped out my immune system so I caught and had trouble fighting off everything ELSE that came around.

There is no vaccine for pneumonia, but there are several things you can do to prevent it. If you are a smoker, stop smoking or go outside to smoke. Make sure your home is well ventilated, if you need an air purifier get one. Practice good hygienics, make sure your child is washing her hands after every bathroom use. Invest in hand sanitizers! And if she ever gets pneumonia again, I would hope you take her to see the doctor for antibiotics. If she is just a child that gets sick with respiratory illnesses then maybe you should ask your doctor about a nebulizer machine for home.
